How This Calculator Works

Step 1: Enter Your Subject Marks

Input the marks you obtained (out of 100) for each subject in the ICSE curriculum.

Step 2: Best Subjects Selection

As per ICSE rules, the calculator considers English Language and your best 5 subjects for percentage calculation. If you've entered 7 subjects, it will automatically select your highest scoring subjects.

Step 3: Percentage Calculation

The calculator adds all the considered subject marks and divides by the total possible marks to get your percentage:

Percentage = (Total marks scored ÷ Total possible marks) × 100

Step 4: Grade Determination

Based on your calculated percentage, the appropriate grade is assigned according to the ICSE grading system.
